'07 GMC Yukon XL

With extra power and better performance, the 2007 GMC Yukon XL is a huge improvement over the earlier models of this extra-large SUV range manufactured by GMC. In fact, the 2007 make of the Yukon XL does stretch the “extra-large” bit a little further – at least so far as the wheelbase is concerned.

The 2007 GMC Yukon XL offers two improved versions of the V8 engines provided with earlier makes. The V8 with a displacement capacity of 5.3 liters generates around 320hp, while the one with a displacement of 6.2 liters can take the power to a distinctly higher mark of 380hp. Interestingly enough, the latter engine is inspired by that of the acclaimed Chevrolet Corvette sports car – perhaps an indication of how incredible the output can be.

The highway mileage for the 2007 Yukon XL has improved to around 21mpg. Other features like multiple airbags, ABS and the Stabilitrac traction control system are also provided.

The 2008 Yukon XL is literally the maximum one can expect from an SUV – not just in terms of performance and accommodation, but also the additional attribute that the ‘XL’ tag comes with – extra size. The 2008 model of the Yukon XL comes in two separate trims levels – the standard XL and the XL Denali.

The 2008 GMC Yukon XL offers two different engines to choose from in its standard model. The 5.3-liter V8 provides a better highway mileage (19mpg) than its 6.0-liter counterpart (having a highway mileage of around 17mpg). Both engines come with a four-wheel drive or a two-wheel drive.

The 2008 GMC Yukon XL has increased space inside the fuselage as well. Apart from additional seating space for its passengers, the '08 Yukon XL has increased luggage space between its three spacious rows of seats.

Safety features include the Stabilitrac, the ABS and multiple airbags, improving the stability of the vehicle despite its length.

The Yukon XL offers two choices when it comes to the engine. Buyers can choose between two capacities of the V8 engine – one having the capacity of 5.3 liters and one having the capacity of 6.0 liters. The horsepower of the former is 295hp, while the latter is an improved 335hp.

The 2005 GMC Yukon XL has both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options in its available powertrains. Safety features include the ABS coupled with the Hydroboost brakes ensure impeccable braking.

Safety features include the tire pressure monitoring system and the multiple airbags. Add to that the Stabilitrac feature and you have one of the most reliable extra-large-sized SUVs in the market today.
